This position is managing their range of Premium Industrial & Commercial cleaning equipment/machinery, targeting an extensive range of clientele across the Auckland region

We are seeking a self-driven Sales professional to further develop the market and drive business development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying business development opportunities by networking, developing new markets.
  • Scheduling your customer visits throughout the Auckland region, promoting equipment to a wide range of commercial markets (Dealers, Trade, Logistics, Food Production, Warehousing)
  • Providing thorough equipment demonstrations, you will be confident talking technicalities around machines and providing a solution for your customer.  (This will include demonstrations on equipment, and some heavy lifting at times).
  • Working towards monthly targets within your territory, you will be responsible for generating a pipeline, identifying new areas and markets to develop business and create opportunity.
  • Assisting with enquiries from distributors and all clients with efficiency and speed, working alongside the service, sales and leadership team in Head Office


A bit about you:

You will be a successful sales person, experienced managing and developing a region of clients, in a field Sales role where new business development is a core focus.

Confident working autonomously, having that inner drive for success will see you really succeed in this position.

  • An understanding or interest within Industrial, Trades, Mechanical or similar field would be highly beneficial.
  • Strong relationship skills, this role involves maintaining and strengthening existing customer relationships and working alongside a very supportive and fun team.
  • An eye for opportunity – Business Development is an essential part of this position, so networking, referrals and cold calling will be required to see your success.
  • Confident managing your own schedule in advance and visits (full autonomy is provided) so you need to be highly disciplined and driven to succeed.
  • Team player – you need to be self-driven, practical, have a great attitude as well as the knack to get deals across the line.

Sales & Contracts Administration | NZ Roofing Manufacturer

 

 

Metalcraft Roofing – NZ’s largest, most established roofing manufacturer. In business since the 1950’s, providing steel roofing, guttering products, tiles, rainwater systems for both commercial and residential customers.

Metalcraft group are part of United Industries, a business made up of nine companies serving a range of products to the building and construction sector.
The Hobsonville branch; one of 12 in NZ, was built only 5 years ago.  It is a beautiful office in a handy location for those residing in Auckland’s west/north shore.

Some experience working within an office administration position is required, as you will be responsible for managing job orders (hard copy and digital), data entry and supporting the sales team and project managers with their duties.

What Your Day Will Look Like:

  • Preparation of supply and install quotations.
  • Projects are: Long-run roofing, Lightweight metal tiles, Insulated panels and rainwater systems (You will be trained)
  • These projects are predominantly focused on residential contracts
  • Supporting the team who are on site, with their quotations, documentation which includes code of compliance and supported information.
  • Ensuring the job management system is updated (Fergus) – showing active and upcoming contracts; where orders and quotations are filed.
  • Ensuring product availability and logistics is arranged, by managing the Job Management system, through to communicating with the Warehouse around stock, production, logistics.
  • Coordinating installers on site who will be working on a range of rainwater systems, to install or repair.
  • Communicating closely with all clients to inform key dates from start to completion of jobs.
  • Processing all essential administration including some purchase orders, labour information and emailing to clients.
  • Of course working alongside your colleagues, very much a team-driven process to deliver on their clients expectations.

This is a very fast paced business, you need to be structured in your way of working, organised and able to work quickly toward deadlines and knowing each and every touchpoint with clients.

Your experience will reflect:
Previous exposure working within an administration role.  Trade related, building or Manufacturing environment would be ideal, but not essential.

Proven administration experience, eloquent phone manner and exceptional attention to detail.  Communication is a key requirement in this position, you must be confident on the phone and acquiring specific details for quotations and installs.

  • Confident working with the entire Microsoft suite (Word/Excel)
  • Team player – You absolutely must be able to be good at sharing workload, helping your team mates with demands, enjoy the banter all the while working towards deadlines within a fun team environment.
